Is Natrol Carb Intercept With Phase 2 Effective?
Natrol Carb Intercept with Phase 2 provides 1,000 mg of Phase 2 Carb Controller Complex per serving. Phase 2 is a clinically tested white kidney bean extract for reducing the enzymatic digestion of starches. This is an excellent ingredient; however, we feel that not enough of it is included in the formula. The complex also contains 40 mcg chromium to help metabolism as well as 190 mg calcium to help burn fat. This means that only about 800 mg of white kidney extract is present in the formula. We are not sure that this amount is sufficient for effective results.
Additionally, 40 mcg of chromium is not really enough to make a significant difference, as chromium is a nutrient that is poorly absorbed by the human body. The use of a bioenhancer could have helped here, but unfortunately, none was included.
While white kidney bean and chromium are two ingredients we definitely look for in carb blockers, we were also hoping to see herbs and enzymes that aid digestion and fat burning. With only three ingredients included in the formula, and in less than optimal amounts, we fear that this supplement won’t get you the best results in terms of neutralizing carbs and weight management.
